Studies show that people with the highest intake of nuts (5x or more a week) have a 35% lower risk of coronary heart disease. Nuts have also been shown to reduce the risk of cancer, respiratory disease and all-cause mortality. With these impressive benefits it’s a no-brainer to add more nuts to your diet.
Nuts make a great snack. Studies have shown that 1 oz. (about a handful) a day is optimal. You also could start adding nuts into recipes instead. You’ll likely live longer if you do!
